Psychotherapy

The concept of psychotherapy is a process that started with the development of psychology and its separation from philosophy in the last century. Its first foundation was laid with Sigmund Freud, and in the following years, as it was seen that psychoanalysis could not explain all diseases and approaches, it was shaped by new trends and has survived to the present day by changing.

Psychotherapy can often be in the form of communicating by talking, or it can be in the form of painting, drawing or play-occupation therapy, as in children.

The main purpose is to find the stress factors that cause mental traumas in the person, to find solutions within the approaches of the appropriate currents, to increase the ability of the person to find solutions to problems in the future by increasing their coping skills, and to protect mental well-being and health. Its types include individual psychotherapy, family therapy and counseling services, group therapy, play therapy, teletherapy, art and music therapy. Psychotherapy is a process. The process is operated with sessions that are structured between 30-45 minutes on average, with mutual communication. Psychotherapy should not be abandoned. When it is seen that the client has achieved sufficient effectiveness, the process can be terminated by mutual consultation with the therapist.
